Read More About: Physical therapy
[physiotherapy, therapists, natural, sustainable]
Physical Therapy is the evaluation and treatment of the neuromuscular and skeletal system by use of therapeutic exercise, mobilization and passive manipulation. Its primary focus is on pain relief, promoting healing, restoring function and movement, and adaptation associated with injury. Other areas of focus in physical therapy are ergonomic (body mechanics) training, fitness, wellness, and education of the patient, helping to stabilize, build strength and prevent further injuries. Physical therapy is most commonly used in recovery from an injury or accident, as physical therapists observe and recognize an individual's pattern of movement, and determine the best course of action and treatment for each patient. Treatments will often consist of improving postural alignment, endurance training, relaxation and stress relief techniques, balance training, proper walking, and restoring movement and range of motion. A physical therapist often will help develop and implement an ongoing home exercise program for continued improvement, to create a balanced recovery from injury.
